DRCS Complete Intensive Training on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Offenders
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, 9th October 2024 – The Department of Rehabilitation and Community Supervision (DRCS), in partnership with the Department of Correctional Services, has successfully completed an intensive three-day training on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for offenders, held from October 2-4, 2024. The training was facilitated by the renowned Association for Psychological Therapies (APT), based in the UK.
Ministry of Public Safety and Utilities Launches Parole Board Modernization Project
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, 3 July 2025 – The Ministry of Public Safety and Utilities, in partnership with the Center for Effective Public Policy (CEPP), has officially launched the Parole Board Modernization Project—a landmark initiative designed to strengthen the parole decision-making process through evidence-based practices, enhanced transparency, and alignment with international standards.
DRCS Hosts 2nd Annual National High School Speech Competition

Department of Rehabilitation Hosted Media Session on Offender Rehabilitation
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Wednesday, 30 November 2023: The Department of Rehabilitation and Community Services (DRCS) hosted a successful awareness session with media stakeholders on probation, parole, and offender rehabilitation. The event was held on Tuesday, 21st November 2023, and marked a significant milestone in advancing our commitment to reducing crime and reoffending in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
DRCS Gains Valuable Insight from Cayman Islands Study Visit
In a quest to establish best practices and enhance the rehabilitation landscape in the Turks and Caicos Islands, the recently formed Department of Rehabilitation and Community Services (DRCS) embarked on a fact-finding mission to the Cayman Islands. Drawing parallels to the Department of Community Rehabilitation in the Cayman Islands, our delegation sought valuable insight into offender management and rehabilitation strategies.
